Raw Caramel Slice



1 cup of dates, pitted

½ cup of almonds, soaked and rinsed (try to soak for 2 hours to overnight)

2 tablespoons of coconut oil, melted

2 tablespoons of almond butter
Caramel Filling:

1 cup of dates, pitted (defs make sure there are no pits)

½ cup of coconut oil

2 tablespoons of almond butter

½ cup of maple syrup

1/3 cup of almond milk, I use unsweetened

¼ cup of coconut oil, melted

¼ cup of maple syrup

¼ cup of cacao powder


Grab yourself a baking try, and line it with baking paper. Then in a food processor pop in your base ingredients. Then with damp hands press into the bottom on the bottom of the baking tray. Then pop in the freezer when you make the caramel. Into a food processor go your dates, coconut oil, almond butter, maple, almond milk and salt. Then blend until you’ve got a nice smooth consistency. Then put your caramel over the base. Pop this in the freezer to begin setting for a good half an hour. Now for the chocolate topping. Mix the malted coconut oil, maple and cacao. Now pour this over the top of the caramel layer and then pop back into the freezer to set. Then slice while frozen (it will hold its shape much better) and enjoy this epic little morsel!
